Ratos's subsidiary Arcus-Gruppen has decided to implement a refinancing amounting to NOK 220m and in conjunction with this to distribute a total of NOK 140m (approximately SEK 160m), of which Ratos's share amounts to approximately SEK 130m. The refinancing has been made possible by the company's favourable development in recent years.
Arcus-Gruppen is Norway's leading spirits producer and one of the largest wine suppliers in the Nordic region through its subsidiaries Vingruppen, Vinordia and Arcus Wine Brands. The group's best-known brands include Braastad Cognac, Linie Aquavit, Løiten and Vikingfjord Vodka.
"Arcus-Gruppen has had a very good earnings development since we acquired the company in 2005. The refinancing and distribution now being carried out have been made possible by the company's strong balance sheet and good cash flows," says Ratos CEO Arne Karlsson.
This dividend means that Ratos's consolidated value will decrease by approximately SEK 130m to SEK 660m, based on the book value at 31 December 2010. The refinancing will have no impact on Ratos's earnings.
Ratos's holding in Arcus-Gruppen amounts to 83%.
